Some good news, some bad news, and where I might be going from here…

 The Good News

Did I say good news? I meant GREAT news…My boys are 100% healthy again. My nine-year-old is back at school, and my almost two-year-old is back to his young little self (and clinging to me like never before). They both went through so much, and yet you would never know it by looking at them. They are perfect in every way. I have so much to be thankful for! And I wanted to thank you, dear readers, for all of your prayers and concern for my family. I have been overwhelmed by your thoughtfulness and generosity. I have received so many emails (many from people I’ve never even met) offering to bring meals, to help with my other children, or to sit with my boys in the hospital so I could get a break. I am forever grateful for each one of you. Thank you.

The Bad News

Don’t worry, it’s really not that bad, but…I will no longer be posting deals on The Full Pantry. You see, I originally started this blog to help my friends and family find good deals on the things they were buying. At the time, I didn’t know any other local bloggers who were doing coupon matchups. But since then, I have had the pleasure of meeting Julie from Pary Moppins, Cricket from Thrifty Texas Penny, and Kristan from Practically Virtuous. Since each one of them post deals on our local stores, I don’t have to feel so guilty about leaving you hanging, right? (That’s what I’m telling myself anyway). And if you’re interested in taking a coupon class, they are offering some in Marshall and Tyler and they’re even willing to do one in Longview if someone has a location available.

What’s Next?

So while I won’t be posting deals like I used to, I still might put a few things here on The Full Pantry. And notice I did say “might”. (It’s taken me over a month to write this one). For those of you who don’t know me, allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I am a (VERY happily) married mama of five (pretty awesome) kids. My biggest interests are:

  • STAYING happily married (thriving, happy marriages don’t happen by themselves)
  • Raising my kids for TRUE GREATNESS (once again, it doesn’t just happen)
  • Feeding my family (sometimes it’s healthy, sometimes it’s not, but it’s always pretty tasty)
  • Finishing our house that we built five years ago (one day I won’t have to share a shower with six others)
  • Simplifying my life  (I’m always looking for ideas on simple living – got any?)
  • Reading great blogs (I read everything from decorating, DIY, photography, cooking, inspirational, family life, etc.)
  • Frugal living (I mentioned we’re a family of seven, right? Frugal living is a necessity)

So what exactly “might” I post on The Full Pantry? Hmm…good question. Well, I guess it could have to do with anything mentioned above. And then again, I may never post again. Who knows? I change my mind daily… But, if I am going to blog, then I want it to be about something that is meaningful to me. Something that I would want my children to know. Something that might encourage someone else.

So if you’re interested in what I “might” be posting, then you can subscribe to the daily email digest or by feedreader or “Like” me on Facebook and you’ll get an update when I do post something.

And as always, I love hearing from you! Have a question or a comment? You can leave them here or send an email to thefullpantry at gmail dot com.
